The flags won’t win a beauty contest but they are really comfortable.
They are made too slip on an off. For the skinny model s10 steel these adjustable flags
Make for a better playing steel.
The ones I made with a milling machine are much neater but requires a lot of milling.
These fit a Emmons Sd10 push pull or any standard 3/8 thick knee stem. ##### Slide on too the most comfortable position snug the screw up your done.
Three styles hear that are simple to make
Two require no milling machine.
Couple seconds too install an detach.
Flags has a milled grove too fit snugly over knee leaver uses 8/32 thumb screw too fasten too knee lever.
It’s adjustable up an down.
You could make any size ::: to fit any brand steel knee leaver.
If your knee lever folds up with flag just leave it on in the most comfortable sweet spot!
Who wants too drill holes an tap threads in a new ::: high end steel’s knee leavers.

That's similar to the way GFI does it. The "flag" slips on the knee lever and secured with an Allen screw. |

Johnie, you ever make detachable flags that allow the flag to essentially move the contact point closer (left to right ) to the player, and also fore and aft (in reference to the guitar body's front and rear cabinet)?
I have a staggered LKL that is too far away and have been sketching out ideas for adjustable flags to get that lever playable without all the work involved of moving the lever itself, a real chore on a 7+6 Zum S12 extended E9.
Let's talk! _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

John your suggestion for the knee flag would work but a person would need the steel in the shop too custom fit the knee flags. Thanks JK |

Something like this could do what you need John, make the stand-off blocks for as much or as little offset as you needed. The "fore and aft" adjustment could be accomplished with beveled slots instead of individual screw holes, or just multiple holes. Easy/quick to remove for transport if necessary

Johnie: Just a thought if the set screw had a 3/16 head your tuning wrench could be used to tighten thus not requiring an Allen wrench. Geat Idea on the Flags.

Barry that’s another great idea.
Williams keyless steels has just the ticket for your idea.
They use a screw they call a top hat too fasten the string too the string puller that is same size as nylon tuning nuts. |

I have no tools or ability to machine metal but I did use a small C-clamp for awhile as a removable flag and it worked very well. A little rubber on the contact points and you're off! Looks a little crazy but if you're putting c-clamps on your levers you probably don't care about that ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
