I restore vintage radios and picked up this Rickenbacker Professional Model 12 at a radio buy a few years ago. I can find very little info on it. The tube lineup is: 5Y3, 2 6V6, 6N7, and 6SJ7. Someone told me it was designed for lap steels and was made in the late 30s. It works great and is very nice cosmetically. Any input would be appreciated.

Sweet amp... circuit very similar to my '47 Fender Deluxe Woodie. Note how the grill spells 'RICK'?

I finally figured that out! It takes some imagination to see it, but it's there. Story was, the guy that owned it, had a trio that played small cocktail lounges in Eugene, Oregon in the 40s and 50s. He gave it to the guy I got it from not too long before he passed away. I gave him $75 for it just because I thought it was cool looking. I have no idea what it's worth. It has been recapped, but other than that it looks all original. Nice Rola speaker. One mic and two guitar jacks. Guitar volume, mic volume, and tone. 2 amp fuse. It uses a filter choke. Very rich sound. It makes me wish that I knew how to play!

Noticed an old post you did. Is the Rickenbacker amp for sale?
Thanks,
Jim
