Has anyone had the chance to try out Tim’s new mini amp. It like The Amp, but double the power. 100 watts into 8 ohms. Looks fantastic.

If anyone is going to be at NAMM, they can find out for themselves. I will have my Williams set up and a few Amp 100s to try _________________ Milkmansound.com |

It looks like these are now available! I am looking forward to hearing some reviews on how they work with pedal steel. |

I'm planning on picking one up and have a nice Avatar 2x12" cab collecting dust that I'd like to use with it. Tim, I know you like the Jupiter speakers in a 2x12". I'm assuming a pair of 50 watt Jupiters would work well with The Amp 100? Any preference between AlNiCo and ceramic? |

You will have good results with the Jupiter ceramic speakers - but make sure you order them at either 16ohms and wire in parallel or 4 ohms and wire them in series. _________________ Milkmansound.com |

Thanks!
But...
...just went to the Jupiter site to order a pair and shipping to Canada costs more than the speakers themselves!! $220 for the speakers + $247 shipping = $467. And they don't seem to have a Canadian dealer for speakers. Any more "common" speakers that you'd suggest as a good substitute? Something from Eminence or Celestion maybe? |

Email me.
I can send a pair to Canada for much less I get great rates and I’m a dealer! |

Still no reviews of The Amp 100 for Steel? I saw the video Of Alex with direct out, but would be interested in peoples thought and comparisons to other amps. |

Has anyone used The Amp for a bass guitar? Did it fair well? _________________ 1975 MSA Classic, AA1164 Princeton clone, Quilter Tone Block 202, Custom Warmoth Jazzmaster, two Kazou Yairi Alvarez Acoustics from the 80's, Acme Low B2 bass cab. |

I'm probably the worst guy to post a review because I'm a beginner at steel and have very little to compare it to. To this point, I've been playing my pedal steel through an assortment of amps I happened to have on hand that weren't being used for something else at the time (mostly low wattage stuff). What I will say is that as soon as I plugged the Milkman 100 into a 2x12" cab with a pair of Jupiters in it, it sounded EXACTLY like what I wanted my pedal steel to sound like. It's very sweet sounding, has the perfect match of warmth and sparkle, can get nice and loud but is extremely quiet at idle, the reverb sounds great and it just seems to react beautifully to the instrument. It really makes me want to play. Again, not much to compare it to, but I'm SUPER happy with it. |
