I’m having a problem with my 112. Every now and then it makes a “bumping†sound. It’ll do that a few times and then maybe what I’d call a “machine gun sound. The bumping would probably be better described as a “plosive†sound.
Is there anything that I can check before I send it out for service?

| A bad guitar cord can also cause that. Connect the guitar straight in, bypassing volume pedal and any effects Use a known good guitar cord and see if it still happens or not. |

| Use tuner cleaner . Clean all jacks and pots. MY 112 did the same thing, carried it to Peavy left it , went back a week later to pick it up. the tech said the jacks were dirty. It cost $70.00 ,and 400 miles of driving. TRY THIS FIRST. |

I think the cleaner did the trick but since it’s intermittent it’s hard to tell. I just have to wait and see. Thanks for the replies.

I get the 'machine gun' sound if my phone is anywhere near my amp. It checks in with the Mothership every hour or so....  |

Did you unplug the reverb tank and try it?

Thanks for all the replies. I thought that cleaning the jacks fixed it but it ended up being a bad cord between my delay pedal and my volume pedal. It was one of those cables with the “pancake†ends on it and the sleeve of the jack came loose. So much for lifetime guaranteed cables.
