He was hot in Dallas before moving to Vegas. A school mate moved with him and continued playing drums in Trini's band.

He cut an album in Nashville in 1968 produced by Snuff Garrett called "Welcome to Trini Country", which has some nice Lloyd Green playing on it.

Lloyd once told me some interesting stories about the sessions, and said that Trini was cool to work with.

His name triggers a memory. Maybe I saw him on the Ed Sullivan show, or maybe it was one of his pop hits?
I remember being impressed in any case.

I made a good living for a long time with my old '67 Trini Lopez guitar. I really modified it a bunch and it had a super slim neck. Here's a shot around '76 in front of the old Swizzle Stik in Huntington Beach, Ca. with my TL guitar w/ three Bigsby Palm Pedals. I used to do "If I Had a Hammer" instrumentally from time to time. I don't remember ever hearing any lead work
from Trini but he put out some amazing rhythm Chops.........JH in Va.

Godspeed Trini.

Lemon Tree.

Trini was thought of to take Buddy's place in The Crickets after Clear Lake.
