It's been 3 years since I bought my 1972 Sho-Bud 6139 Pro 1 S10. I have purchased all the parts needed to replace the bent rods and add two pedals making it a S10 with 5 pedals. During COVID-19 I have caught up with most of my music projects except for the Sho-Bud.
I have decided that discretion is the better part of valor and I need to let someone who knows what they are doing repair my Sho-Bud. While I *think* I can do it myself, most likely I would get in over my head and make matters worse.
I'm looking for recommendations for a repair shop/person who could do the work on my '72 Sho-Bud. Location has to be within a 4 hour drive from Newnan GA, Nashville included.
I actually like the idea of driving to Nashville, dropping off the Sho-Bud and then spend the day checking out the music shops in the Nashville area. I'd stay overnight and spend part of the next day in Nashville then return to Newnan.
Thanks! _________________ Tony

Jeff Surratt at Show-Pro could do it, but not sure how busy he is with new builds. Buck Reid would be another good option. Both are in the Nashville area. |

Mike Cass lives west of Nashville. He has worked on 10 or more steels for me. His work is perfect.

Thanks all! Yesterday I made the trek to South Carolina and dropped off my Sho-Bud at Kelsey O'Neil's shop.
I should get it back around Christmas as he has to chase some parts and of course there are a few repairs ahead of me. He's going to add 3 knees to it plus a pedal or two.
It seems that the shops around Nashville have quite a bit of back-log. I guess everyone is getting their PSGs tuned up while things are shutdown due to COVID. _________________ Tony

Update: I picked up my Sho-Bud today from Kelsey O'Neil. Kelsey did a fantastic job on it. Ye ha!!!!!!!!!
It has been ready for awhile but I just couldn't get away to pick it up. It's 5 1/2 hours each way from Newnan GA.
My Sho-Bud is now a 4 pedal & 4 knees guitar . Kelsey added the 0 pedal and 3 knees. All new rods underneath. And he fixed my Sho-Bud volume pedal.
One big problem remains: The operator needs a lot of PRACTICE!!!!!!!!!!! Blaming the guitar won't work any more
I HIGHLY recommend Kelsey for PSG repair. He's top notch!! _________________ Tony
