very nice looking unique instrument.
may i ask why the covers over the pickup? is it for shielding? they restrict so much of the area there where you can play the instrument for some nice sounds.
can they be removed and give access to that area of the strings? |

The Hand rest can be removed with two screws for playing special effects over the pickups.
Bill likes hand rest on his guitars so that is how I build them for him. He has 25 or more guitars he had me build custom to order for him, and most of them have hand rest. |

So Will, Jimmie makes a D6/8 and you have one. I've had D8s before and a D6/8 makes perfect sense to me. Just curious what tunings do you use on the 6/8 ? Thanks |

I use a G tuning on the 6 string and C6th on the 8 string a lot of people think you have to have a dobro to play bluegrass but i play a lot of bluegrass on my 6 string neck with a simulator box and i have fooled a lot of people with this set up i know a lot of nasayers not possable but thats ok i make a lot of money playing bluegrass withthis set up thats all i can say |
