Looking for an old, weathered fretboard to match one that I have so I can put but back the C6 neck on a D10 that was converted to an SD10. My only other option is two new ones and that won't look right on this beautiful old Bud. |

I was cleaning my C6th fretboard with some GHS cleaner and when I went to wipe it off it took some paint off of the fretboard. I bought a new one but it looked odd to have an old fretboard and a new one, so I've never used it. It's a Sho Bud Professional and I think the fretboard is made of tin. The fret markers are still there but it looks horrible. I don't play it very often anymore but I had learned to live with it when it happened. It's an outstanding sounding steel guitar, I entertain the thought of having it restored sometime. Good luck in finding a vintage fretboard, if you are successful, it might inspire me to try to find one. |
