Listing an Evans FET 500 amp for a friend who's not a SGForum member that quit playing several years ago and has been gradually liquidating his equipment . . . his description is below:

Evans FET 500 amp - early Texarkana model, serial #8208, bought used from Herb Remington at his Houston store around 1990. 15" Black Widow speaker. No issues. Includes cover.
price lowered to $350 plus shipping costs - lower continental 48 only. Money order or check is OK but will ship when either clears.

I had an 85 I played for 20 years. Had an Evan's rack mount, and now have an SE-200. Great amps. If I had the money, I would buy this. |

Depending on your guitar, pickup, and cords (watch those George L's) an Evan's can be too bright. It's easily corrected with a Brad Sarno Freeloader or a Black Box variable Z, which is a Freeloader. |

There is nothing better sounding with a steel guitar than an Evans amp---period. Second best is a Nashville 400 amp (one with the tone upgrade and 1502 speaker).
This is just my humble opinion, and I'm sticking to it.... |
