Does anyone know of a source for lightweight plastic wheeled pedal steel cases available in the US similar to what you get with an Excel steel? _________________ 2016 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2015 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2023 Williams S12 4 x 5, Milkman Amps, 1974 Gibson Byrdland |

Yes, SKB. I used an SKB-H3611W for years. Intended as a trap case for drummers, with some added padding makes a great steel guitar case...Note: If used for a D-10 or SD-10, there is space inside only for the guitar body, leg bag and pedal bar can be carried separately in a travel guitar gig bag (a Martin Backpacker bag works perfectly). |

Here ya go Steve ... you need to line it with foam to suit ...and you can also get the pedal bar and legs/rods in there too cos the lid is a little more spacious!
When I fly I put the pedal bar and legs in another bag, leaving just the body of my D10 Zum Hybrid -- and it still goes under the 23kg/50lb limit most airlines impose !
The case also has wheels for easy transportation.

Thanks guys! It looks like the SKB case could work nicely for my Williams D12's with that gig bag for the pedal board, legs and rods. Now if we could just get back to playing some gigs..... _________________ 2016 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2015 Williams D12 8 x 8, 2023 Williams S12 4 x 5, Milkman Amps, 1974 Gibson Byrdland |
