I've been using this amp (at home) and am really liking it- the question if anyone knows, is it OK to run this without a load?
I'm going to hook up a small headphone amp to the preamp out.

Usually, a SS amp is OK to run without a load but I would check with DV Mark. I have the same amp and I use
it with a JBL K-130 4 ohm speaker in a Stereo Steel closed back cab. If you want to greatly expand the tonal range, use an EQ pedal in the effects loop. I use an MXR 10 band EQ in the effects loop with my DV Mark amp. Very nice vibe.

Big fan of DV amps, here, I have two but not a 250GH. I have sent them notes and they responded rather quickly, within a day or say. In English ! My gut tells me no issue with no speaker load as thats the entire purpose of a PRE OUT , Recording or Sound System. But best to check.

| DV Mark 250, is one of the best sounding steel amps. Tone is great. It sounds like 500 watts. My volume is not over 2. You should be able to use the earphone without speaker load |
