Hello everyone, I'm in a surf instrumental band and have been wanting to play through a Quilter Steelaire for years. Through some luck and circumstance, I've come into possession of the exact amp Mr. Pat Quilter himself performed with, on stage, alongside his brother Matt Quilter.
During the 2016 Surf Guitar 101 convention in Torrance, California, Mr. Matt Quilter brought along a Steelaire combo amp specifically for his brother to perform "Sleepwalk" on; the classic instrumental by Santo and Johnny.
That amp was later raffled off during the closing of the convention to one very lucky winner. I purchased the amp from that winner.
After playing it for about 30 minutes, I realized it's a fantastic amp...but... it's not a "surf guitar" amp. Thus, I'm selling it to buy a Fender Showman clone.
The amp is literally like new and comes with the Quilter cover. No footswitch. I will have it professionally packed and shipped free anywhere in the USA, via UPS. $1200 gets it.
