I got one, just love it with all the sweeteners and all but I'd like to know if it's possible to use it like a "normal" tuner I mean I play a note, it tells me which note it is and the percentage of how in tune it is (or not) and the 440 Hz calibrated reading of that note.
Example: E +10 cents 442.5 etc...
Thank you. |

Hi John,
Using the Peterson StroboPLUS HD to measure an unknown cent offset:
1. Make sure the tuner is set to "EQU" in the Sweetener menu by rotating the dial until "Sweetener" flashes, press the dial to select, then rotate the dial to scroll through the Sweeteners until EQU appears.
2. Select the CENTS parameter by rotating the dial until "Cents" flashes, then press the dial to lock on Cents.
3. Sound an open string and adjust the Cent value with the dial until the strobe image is immobile.
4. Note the cent offset displayed on the screen for that string to 0.1 cent resolution.
Changing the Concert pitch is/was a workaround for other tuners which did not have a cent adjustment ability and could not be programmed.
The numbers do not represent the individual notes actual Hz value, just the concert A deviation from A440 Hz and used in the absence of a cent control (at a lower resolution).
If you want, you can also do this on the StroboPLUS HD.
To change the Concert pitch,
1. Select the Concert A parameter by rotating the dial until "Concert A" flashes, then press the dial to lock.
2. Rotate the dial to change the value of Concert A in 0.1 Hz increments. _________________ John Norris
