Can anyone provide me with a wiring diagram for a Clearwater lap steel (2 P90 style pups, 2 tone 1 volume pot)?
Rear pup is almost inaudible, and tone control is "odd" shall we say. Maybe bad solder joints but I'd like to know how it should be wired, in case the previous owner has tried to "mod" it!
Thanks

If it's this one
https://www.amazon.co.uk/NEW-CLEARWATER-PRO-LAP-STEEL/dp/B001KPDZBA
It looks like it should be two volumes, a switch and a tone control.
If this is the case then the pickup hots should go to the most clockwise pot lugs (from underneath) the middle lugs on the volume pots would go to the switch and the output of the switch to the output jack and a separate wire to the tone pot.

That is the wiring I had suspected, though it has two knobs marked "tone" and one marked "volume". However, I did find the fault. One support leg of the 3 way switch had snapped, allowing the switch body to move, and preventing proper switching. I managed a repair, and now all seems fine.
