I am once again encountering a problem with my uploads because something keeps changing in YouTube.

Early on, once in a while a video would be upside down or flipped left to right.
There used to be a button to fix that.
Then they did away with the button and you had to go to Enhancements and Inspect.
Then you had to remove a couple of words out of the written formula (for lack of a better word).

Now, it seems that everything I upload is upside down and I cannot find a way to correct it as, unless I am blind, they have done away with that part of the formula in "Inspect".

I know that some of you must have had the same problem.

I sure need help. I am currently uploading hundreds of audio shows with titles and pictures and they are all upside down.

Please help me if you can.

Thanks in advance
Bill

It might be something to do with your conversion from tape to digital.

I would run your videos through video editing software before uploading to YouTube. Once you've got the file on your PC, load it into the software. You can flip/rotate them on these without mirroring. If they appear normal on the video editing software then you're fine but if not, then rotate them.

Filmora is a nice piece of kit that isn't too expensive. You might be able to do it on Windows Movie Maker too which I believe comes with Windows for free.

When I played my original video of Together Again back in the day, my dad was recording me. He held my old smartphone upside down so the video came out inverted. Before putting on YouTube I put it into Movie Maker, rotated it and it was fine. No mirroring.

I already do all that. This is something that YouTube is doing.

If that's the case then I'm at a loss of what it is. I've never had a video flip on me unless the file was like that (as mentioned with Together Again).

I'd contact YouTube support for an explanation. They're the only people who can give you a real explanation regarding the back end coding. If you are putting a file on and it is correct on your computer, it should be correct on YouTube.

Yep, I've tried contacting YouTube but no response after 3 tries and 2 weeks.

Did you try submitting an upside down video?

Earnest. I did and of course that worked.

However, that would mean that my master video that I store on a hard drive and in the cloud would be upside down.

And I don't have the time to do every one of the uploads twice.

Most everything that I am posting now is Audio Only.

So it's the title and ending screen that are upside down and flipped left to right. The audio is NOT reversed. hehe

So I'm just writing the correct info in the description and letting it go. It will sound the same to you.

It's just frustrating after I spend all the time doing this to have a machine change what I do.
