Hi all just wanted to tell you of a happy find..by clipping a cheap lapel condenser mic to my resonator and putting it into the Roland micro-cube, on the Mic setting, rolling off all highs and gain completely (full to the left) and turning both pre and post volume on full, I am able to get clear and loud volume to play with my band with no feed back (I can add the on board reverb/delay etc to taste).
Also, it has the direct line out to a PA, which works really well with no feedback (providing no boost or cut on the PA Eq).
Batteries in the Roland make the whole thing easy for jams/gigs.. |

Hey! Wisenheimer....
Joel - glad you found a simple solution. What’s the feedback situation when you turn it up (realizing that a Micro-cube isn’t going to get all that loud)? _________________ Peter

Hi Peter I find it's easily loud enough for my band (with upright bass, brushed drums & guitar)in rehearsal with no feed back- with pre & post volume on full, as long as the amp gain is zero and the micro cube tone is rolled to all bass (which works well with this $20 lapel condenser mic clipped to the spider cover, pointing direction towards cone, as it rolls the extreme highs out). Love the natural tone, and can add reverb/delay or even fun with tremolo etc.
Lap steel through same amp, but just switch setting to brit combo..
Happy to get this happening without spending anything🙂 |

Don't mind a bit of the old ojnab either! This lapel Mic/micro-cube set up works well clipped on the inside of the ojnab too 😉 |

Let me know how you go. I'm sure output can vary from mic to mic but hopefully you have some luck too
