Back in February, I purchased one of the new Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb's. I must say it's turned out to be everything I could ask for. Granted it doesn't sound as good as my old Webb 614E, but it has a good sound of it's own for my needs. It's a solid state and only weighs 33 lbs. Man I can live with that, and being in my senior years my old back sure appreciates it alot more. It's now my main amp for Steel Guitar!

I have had one a couple of months now. I agree it's a good amp with it's own sound. I was hoping it would become my gigging amp and my Evan's would become my back-up amp. I certainly can live with the Twin for a back-up amp, but for my gigging amp, it falls short compared to my Evans. Although it's 10 lb. heavier, the Evans will still be my gigging amp. |

I like 15's,and thought seriously about getting a Tone-Master TR and swapping the chassis into my Twin Custom 15.....Decided to wait and see whether the company would do the right thing and bring out a factory 15" version. Hope they hurry up! |

Dave Campbell, I've actually got 5 Emmons guitars, and they all sound good with the tone master. Here's my other Emmons I left out of the pictures
George Kimery, I don't really like Evans amps, and feel about the same way with the 6 Peavey's I've owned over the years. I've had Nashville 400's & 1000's. Didn't care for any of them. Guess I'm just a Fender guy.

Nick, I'm with you on Peavey. I've owned every steel amp they have made except the new Session 115. The only one I ever liked was the Session 500, which I bought new when they first came out.
I used a Derrell Stephen's built Evans FET 500 as my main amp through the 80's and 90's, so maybe my brain is programmed for the Evans sound. The eq on them is quirky and takes some getting used to. |

Nick, I think you have a little something to do with the great sound you always get. Great pictures. |

Nick, I wish I could love it like you do. I am also an old Fender guy and have 2 Twin Reverbs from the 70s along with 2 Bassman, a Deluxe Reverb, and a few others. The Fender Mustang 111 v2 I have seems more pleasant once dialed in. I'm still trying to get that righteous tone on the Tonemaster. Sounds ok with my Telecasters or an Archtop. I haven't gave up yet. |

I'm probably the "cause" of Nick buying a Tone Master.
I have to downsize as I'll be moving to a Senior center, maybe later this year or next. I liked the Tone Master and it became my gigging amp but because of its size it was sold and I'm down to one amp, a Nashville 112. |
