Really nice playing Jim. I'm really learning that non pedal steel is about touch and taste! You've got it Jim. |

Beautiful playing and you get a really nice Hawaiian sound from your Stringmaster. Thanks for sharing. _________________ My YT channel: www.youtube.com/user/madsteffen |

Flawless playing of a great old tune. Jim, I see you are in New Zealand, do you meet other musicians who are interested in the Hawaiian era? Here in Cairns, an ideal tropical setting, the musicians I have met are unaware of anything predating Rock and Roll that is not mainland American. A few older Cook Islanders and Samoans know some Hawaiian and Tahitian songs, but those communities are rather insular, or appear so. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. Same story here David. When I play out its usually music that people are familiar with, hardly ever Hawaiian if any at all. And even then a lot of it is on conventional guitar.
I would love an all Hawaiian group but I'm afraid there would be no audience. As for steel players there none in my area that I know of. _________________ Canopus d-8
