Years ago, Mike Auldridge did a lot of jazzy tunes on an 8 string dobro, tuned either in G6/Em7, or the regular dobro tuning with a high G and low E, or, as Mike showed in the book, "The Great Dobro Session," for the tune Wave, C6 with a high D and low A. There is evidence of an 8 String Swing transcription book, now out of print.

Does anybody know how to get ahold of this book?

There is a dvd of Mike teaching both G6 and C6th and he walks through a few tunes on the 8 string swing record. You can get it on the Beard site.

I'm not aware of any transcriptions/tab for that project.

Dobro Joe (www.dobrojoe.com) has a number of Mike's tunes from Eight String Swing in his free online courses. Scroll all the way to the bottom for the 8-string section, and it may take a minute to load. His courses have video demos, video instruction, usually a backing track, and tab.

Songs he has include:

Stompin' At the Savoy
Almost To Tulsa
Bethesda
Bluegrass Boogie
Brown Baggin'
Little Rock Getaway
Pete's Place
Raisin' The Dickens (from Mike's album "Treasures Untold".
Redskin Rag
Swing Thing

So, missing are Caravan, Red Top, and Crazy.

Here's a clip (2009) of forum member Gerald Ross accompanying Mike Aluldridge (Stompin' At The Savoy) in the Benoit room at the Dallas Show.....
