Taking Apart an Epiphone Eharp Pickup

My guitar tech is repairing my Epiphone Eharp pickup and just send these pictures along. He said it is the weirdest pickup he has ever worked on.

He is rebuilding it , but it is much trickier than he originally thought. Pictures of the rebuild to follow.
