Thanks, Jeff! Very sweet of you.

But EVERYTHING I know about these guitars I learned from a Forum member, so I'm just paying it forward. When I first started hanging out here, I couldn't tell a pedal steel from a vintage sewing machine (still can't), but I've learned a TON about Rickenbacker and Fender non-pedal guitars, mostly.

Stick around--you can learn about whatever you're interested in when it comes to anything that's played with a bar--and more. These guys are my gurus, and I love 'em dearly.

When you get a chance, check out the steel guitar collection of my first "mentor" here, Mr. C.E. Jackson:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKtLpfQRPp0

I came across his video one day many years ago and it was like a bolt came out of the blue (sounds kinda dramatic, but it's true). I was instantly hooked. I tracked the guy down to this forum and started peppering him with questions, which he answered with his characteristic amiable grace. Same goes for guys like Doug Beaumier, Andy Volk, Chris Scruggs, Pete Finney, Erv Niehaus, Russell Davis, Todd Clinesmith, and my dear friend and patient teacher Jeff Kearns... and the list goes on. You'll never meet a better class of people all gathered in one place.

Stick around... you'll see!
