Hello. I’m looking for a couple parts for my Sho-Bud “The Professional”. I need one new string roller, one Grover tuner, and one set screw for the pedal bar. Also need suggestions for the threads coming loose at the top of one of the legs. The threaded insert in the top of the leg wobbles back and forth in the leg. Do I just epoxy or glue it back? I’d appreciate any help. Thanks!
Nick

Thanks Paul. I was hoping someone would have all three parts I need. It’s expensive for a pack of Grovers and I only need one. Same with the rollers. Set screw I’m sure I can find at a hardware store though.

I'm sorry Nicholas; I do have those, but If I gave you 1 roller...then I'm missing a roller for a set> same with the Grovers. I just don't mainly hang on to the parts I take off ones guitar when they have parts made by my partner Michael Yahl...>so email michael..he may have some spares much more than I have.

Try Jim Flynn at Lone Star Steel Guitars. He may have what you need.

You're welcome Nicholas. Jim's a great guy. Even if he doesn't have what you need, he may know someone. And like Ricky suggested, Micheal at psg parts is a very good source for Shobud parts. Goodluck.

As far as the leg goes, epoxy it in. Very Happy

I had 2 legs with loose thread plugs, and glued them with Gorilla Glue (original) which expands when drying. Secret is use a very thin layer on each (separated) part. Put glue on each then use hammer to tap in place. Let it dry over night or longer. And it is firmly fixed!

Lonney Portwood (Forumite)gave me this tip, on a Sho-Bud leg.

Thanx,

Jim

Thanks Jim,
You are the second person to recommend gorilla glue. Ricky Davis suggested JB weld And Erv Niehaus said epoxy. I’m sure all work great.
Thanks,
