I flew to Florida to pick up this guitar about 4 years ago, it was in bad shape. It had been rode hard and put up wet. The owner was in his eighties and had played every VFW club in the Florida/ Alabama area for years. He never put it in the case just threw it in the back of his truck and drove to the gig. All of the legs had been stripped with a screw holding them together. Six holes were drilled into the left endplate. He rigged a mic stand and a fiddle holder on it. The nicotine stains were everywhere. Even a few cig burns. Bar dings galore and Gouging marks on both aprons. I have been dragging my feet on this one.

I stripped the cabinet down and had Andy Todd refinish it. I then flocked the underside and put it away for a year or so. Going back every so often to do something to it. Thanks to the quarantine I found a lot of free time to work on projects I I had sitting around. This one is on the home stretch. Here’s a before and after.

Just thought I'd stick in a few more photos. Still wrestling with the setup. Getting there little by little.

Harry Jackson did a great job of plugging the holes. Here's a before and after transition. If you look real hard you can see some small halos. I swapped this endplate to another less desirable guitar.

Ron, That's a beauty!!!! I bet it has one heck of a tone with the wood necks. First one I seen without metal necks.
