Paul, Thanks for posting this. I clearly remember in the 70's having this cat.or one like it and while trucking grain from the combine would read every page in detail and dream of owning a new MSA some day! |

In response to Paul W.'s post..." music store in Milwaukee, WI. Probably Ralph Hansel Music. He ran a travel agency, a Shaklee distributorship, as well as a well-connected music operation(big MSA dealer). You could trade a riding lawn mower or almost any such thing of value for anything he dealt in...a guitar...a travel vacation, etc. Had a tag on his Lincoln that said "I Trade". He was a true mentor to me and I always got unbelievable "deals" on steel stuff. I believe he has a son that is a Forum member. Sorry for all the rambling here but Paul's post just struck a nerve. A great beginning experience for a "newbie" at the time. Ralph advised me not to go to Nashville but...the rest was history. Respectfully submitted, RK _________________ "think MORE...play LESS" |

I could only afford a Dekley S-10 when I first visited Ralph at his shop in West Allis ca. 1985. He could see I was going to have to "settle" for it when he gave me a sweet deal on a MSA S-10, a much better guitar for me. The guitar was signed at the keyhead by ... Rick Kornacker!
I also bought an Emmons D-10 push pull from Ralph - he was a character alright. |

Any chance somebody has a sharper scan of this catalog, or at least this page? This is exactly like the old MSA I bought off Craigslist as my first pedal steel.
Thanks in advance.
