Not that I'm worthy of such a truly magnificent professional grade instrument, but what's the price and are there any seconds or blemished guitars for sale?

I'm not worthy either. But that didn't keep me from buying this lovely fry pan last week. I opted for a satin finish with black fret board. $1900.

Do what you have to do to acquire a Clinesmith Frypan. I’m far from worthy of such a fine instrument, but it happens to be my favorite guitar of my lifetime. If you’re waiting for a used one to come up, my guess is it’ll be a while. _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

IMO @ $1900 that Clinesmith Frypan is a great deal. I was going to say "it's a steal" but that might get confusing. Congrats Chuck! _________________ The road is better than the inn. |

No prices on the website, I'm possibly willing to spend my $1,200 check on a short scale 6 string .you only live once.of course I would have to buy a small tube amp also, that would be all I would need to make it through this crazy pandumbic.Hawaiian Steel Guitar!

Thanks for the comments guys.
I am not putting these Frypans on my website for the time being. I am just advertising on my facebook page, word of mouth, and I have advertised on the forum.
I do not get seconds or blemished castings. If I do I send em back to my foundry , but they rarely send me anything I would not like. I will say every one of these castings will have some slight imperfections which is natural in sand castings. Be it either a sand inclination or porosity. I like to refer to them as birth marks, and it does make em unique, and recognizable. The foundries I work with are top notch, and work with little ole me pretty well.
Joe is correct with my pricing at $1900. I am making these in long scale 6,7,and 8 string models. As well as short scale 8 strings. I have built 1 short scale 7 on an 8 string body.
As for now I have no plans on building a short scale 6 string. I would need several orders to get a model like this to pay for itself. I have put feelers out there and it does not seem I have the support to get this model off the ground. If I had 8 or so folks who wanted one, that would encourage me to make a pattern for a short 6.
Tom, if you have any other questions, I would be happy to answer them here or by email. _________________ face book page:

What is the string spacing at the nut and saddle for the 22/8 vs the 24/6?
Thanks. |

Hi Mike,
The spacing for the 6 string is:
Nut 1.875 ( .375 or 3/8 center to center between each)
Bridge 2.1 (.42 center to center)
8 string models
Nut 2.375 (.339 center to center between each)
Bridge 2.75 ( .392 center to center)
I'll give the 7 as well:
Nut 1.875 ( .3125 or 5/16ths center to center)
Bridge 2.25 ( .375 or 3/8 center to center) _________________ face book page:
