Fitting a new reverb tank to my amp

Got it all sorted except for one little detail.

I've lost the bit of paper on which I recorded all such relevant details.

There are 2 wires, both black, which are hanging down to connect to the reverb unit.

How can I ascertain which is for Input and which for Output?

One lead will reach either end of the tank, the other will only reach one end.

All help appreciated!

Quote from Ken Fox from another thread. Note the diagram shows the Nashville connector, but the text addresses how to determine which is which. Good Luck!

All the tanks used in Peavey steel amps are two or three spring. Hope this diagram helps. You amp will have RCA connectors at the chassis instead of Molex. Can get confusing on which goes where. East way to ID the jack is to find the reverb return jack. .

Plug in two RCA cables to the jacks and then turn the amp on and the reverb control up a bit. Touch the ends of the RCA cables. The one that makes noise is the reverb return and goes to the tank RCA female marked "OUTPUT"
