I've finally decided to learn the C6, and I want to start without pedals.
Does anybody have any recommendations for a book? _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I think you’re smart to learn non-pedal C6th first. In looking back I wish I had learned C6th on 6-string lap steel, then on to an 8-string, and then to pedal.
Doug Beamier has 2 books of standard tunes for 6-string C6th lap steel. Really good, clear and fun, too. |

After re-entry into playing again after a ton of years my first purchase was for Doug Beaumier's books and that was very fortunate for me. They are top notch first class quality books.

Andy Volk's books and Cindy Cashdollar's video are the best way to start, IMO. |
