I was unaware of this artist and this record until Marcel Parjis posed a cut on Facebook. Great band and terrific C6 swing playing. Here's a link to the whole album. Thanks, Marcel!

Great tone and feel from Buddy! There is a lot of ensemble playing, more than you would usually hear from players who can't read and probably didn't have budget for rehearsals. Even with good short-term memory it's hard to remember an album's worth of new head arrangements, but I can imagine a few ways it could have been done.

Ernest, I doubt this was an actual "band". I'd bet this was done with more of the Nashville A-team players than just Buddy.

Yes, I think so too, very pro all the way. I should just sit back and enjoy the music instead of trying to analyze what was an overdub etc. I think Buddy sounds as good here as he, or any steel player, ever sounded.

I agree with Peter and Earnest,great band and great music,and Buddy playing better than ever.Really enjoyed it,makes me want to practice Western swing.Thanks for posting it
