Hello. I'm needing a pedal bar or rack for a project I have. The front legs measure 33.75" center to center. Over sized would be ok if it can be cut down and modified. It doesn't need to be perfect. The guitar I'm working on is pretty old and crusty. It's a no name, possibly a home made steel that happens to sound incredible!

Also I'm open to ideas for easy do-it-yourself options! Smile

Thank you.

Dave

I made a pedal rack for my project from a piece of 2" aluminum channel. Polished it up like a mirror. Probably quicker than waiting for one to become available.

Thanks! Is that a Home Depot item or did you cut an aluminum 2x4?

I don't think Home depot is going to have this. We have a aluminum machine shop in my town who ordered it for me.
I got 1 in X 2 in rectangular aluminum tubing. You can drill holes in the back without damaging the face. You can hand rub it with Turtle wax red rubbing compound. This will make it shiny but not a mirror finish. To get it better use Jeweler's rouge (which is not available on every corner) You can order 36 inches and cut it off. I put one on a Emmons student model that had a wooden one.

Probably won't find 2" channel at Home Depot, etc. I ordered online from a metal supply biz -- I forget which one. If you live near a good-sized city, there may be an industrial supply house locally.

Thanks all for for the advice! I think I'll order some 2" channel and some hack saw blades and make myself one! Looks easy enough!!

Happy social distancing! Be safe!

Thanks for the tip. Two inch channel is working great so far! Time to dig out the buffing wheel.😳
