Asher 8 string Lap Steel Guitar. ****PRICE REDUCED****was $3200 - now down to $ 2800 ! This is a one of a kind special build Asher Lap Steel. Start with the famous Asher Akaka body. Hawaiian Okoume wood for the string-through guitar body, Quilted Maple HoneyBurst for the top wood and Tortoise Shell for the binding. Rosewood neck with Abalone position inlays. Grover tuners and Ebony on the peghead with the Akaka inlay for style. Finish with Nitro Cellulose for ultimate shine and durability.Look closely at the pix - I did alot of closeups.Now to the electronics ---2 Special EMG active pickups - 85-8 on the Neck and 60-8 on the Bridge.The 85-8 on the neck side adds depth and fullness to the 60-8 on the bridge side that can't be done with the original Akaka model. To further enhance the tone options available from the 2 active EMG's I added special tone controls. In addition to the normal tone control there are separate volume controls for each pickup allowing you infinite blend control. In addition to all this there's EMG's newest trick - the EXG tone control in addition to the normal tone knob. The EXG is active and adds sparkle and depth like no regular control can do !!
