I'm still new to the pedal steel world but I was wondering... Does anyone make a pedal steel guitar case that doubles as a seat?
All it would take is 4 adjustable legs carried inside the case, screwed into threaded holes, and voila! Sit on your case when playing your guitar!
Does such a thing exist? I haven't found one yet using the google machine...

I haven't seen one, but it'd probably wind up being heavier than a normal case. One thing steelers really don't need is more weight to hump around. The cases are also pretty big, larger than a piano bench, and that could be an issue on many cramped stages. Frequently when I was starting out, I had to sit on my amp, due to a lack of room for a chair or seat on a stage. |

I've never seen or heard of one. Since the steel is heavy enough, I believe it would have to be heavier made for that purpose. Maybe someone has tried this and will chime in. |

If you look closely, Speedy is sitting on his Bigsby case. So there's that.

Sneaky used to sit on his steel case when he played. |

to your question, if you had a split case with legs and pedals in it that doubled as a seat it might be workable. |

I've seen videos of Lee Jeffriess, with the West Coast Ramblers, using his case for a seat. _________________ RICK ABBOTT
