Hi, I was beta testing a great new guitar amp app simulator for iPad and iPhone, I thought I would mention it here. It’s called Gain stage vintage clean, if you can, listen with headphones. Here’s a quick clip.

Thanks,

Cory, great clean sound. How was you connected to the phone and what adaptor is used? I assume for live playing you use a power amp and speaker or the PA.

Thanks John and Larry,

I don’t use this setup live, I use a steel amp, but it would probably e good as a quick backup.

This example I plugged my steel into a apogee duet, which connects to my iPhone or iPad. I just tried my wife’s Focusrite Scarlett 212 and that works great too, that requires an Apple cck ( camera connection kit). There’s a lot of audio interfaces that work great with iOS devices.

I like using iOS stuff to practice with because they’re so many apps to make music with fairly quickly.

Thanks,
Cory
