Peavey Session 400 Limited question

Hey everyone,

A quick question about the Session 400 Limited effects loops. (the POST EQ ones)

Just received one of these amps and the 1st of the two effects loops (post eq) cuts out completely when the foot switch is activated for it when NOTHING is plugged in to it.

The 2nd one doesn't act this way.

Either will engage/disengage when an effect pedal is patched in/out.

But if the 1st one isn't being used, the 1st effect foot switch effectively turns the amp off at that stage.

Is this normal, or is this amp going back?

Also, a little bit of 'noise' added when either is engaged (even when nothing plugged in to them). Might be normal as well.
