(I'm starting another topic to hopefully avoid discussing multiple items all at the same time and hijacking other topic discussions.)

Greg Cutshaw has a way that he does it that seems like it would work.
I was talking with a friend who has a DP-24 SD with no MIDI ports.
He turned me on to a Youtube video that has a different way of doing it.

From what I can gather, he uses a device to generate a sync tone (not a clock).
This tone is recorded on a track of the DP-24SD.
Then, this tone is then output from the DP-24SD back to the external device, which is then set to convert this sync tone to a MIDI clock.

However, there are a couple of possible drawbacks.
This method uses a couple of extra pieces of hardware.
And......those pieces seem to be either obsolete, or expensive, or both.

Still, it would be interesting to see if anyone has tried this, and/or if you think it would work.

There are a couple of other related videos on YT that seem to do the same thing, but using different "extra" pieces of hardware.
