I am having a problem tuning the g# (the lower one) pedal on my GFI keyless E-9. I cannot quite get it up to the A. I am turning the tuning tool with all my strength, but it is staying slightly flat.
Anyone out there familiar with this problem? |

Sounds like the plastic tuning nut has bottomed out on the threads of the pull rod.
Back the plastic tuning nut off the rod. Then screw it half way back on rod.
Turn the steel over and loosen the allen set screw on the brass rod pivot in the bell crank, Of the problem pull rod. Adjust the rod till 1/16" of free play on pull rod, Tighten allen set screw. Now try retuning the pull.
Good Luck and Happy Steelin. |

you might also check that the lowering finger isn't moving during the raise...if it is, tighten the lower return spring til it doesn't move forward at all during the raise. Good luckI
I think I went to Foothill high school in OC with a Kuykendall.
Stay safe! |
