Here’s a few pics of the prototype of my signature model lap steel by a great Finnish luthier, Olli Viitasaari.
25” scale, designed to feel like my Beard resos, same neck measurements.
Two custom low output humbuckers and a Fishman piezo for dobro tones through an Aura pedal.
Hipshot Double Shot tailpiece for switching between G and D tunings.
I am really proud of this one...
As you can see, there are echoes of a well known electric guitar model and that’s basically what we set out to do: a lap steel slide guitar. Rock and blues...

Wow, stunning! Maybe you can do soundclips of different pickup configurations, DI/miked amp or whatever

Have to ask, is that 3 pickup output jacks?

The bridge is a customized Asher. The round metal part was replaced with a bone one and shaped to accomodate the piezo.
