Cheers for the replies. Wow, a JJ Cale vibe... I recall the first JJ Cale song I played, 'Call Me The Breeze'. First heard the version sung by Bobby Bare... still so love that version, the little skip in the snare and the clean solos... really hits the spot!

JFI - My thinking behind the steel in the chorus was using it like a brass section.
