Am using my NV 400 for a lapsteel amp. Not concerned with clear. Running my pre at 5-6, post at 3 I like the fatter sound I get. Plenty of power. Melobar SXL with Bartolini humbucker. Bass2.mid1.shift900,high -2,presence-3. Can I damage anything in the amp doing this? Amp has Ken Fox major mod job. Not much distortion just a little bit of fatness. Jest wundern!!! Mike C |

As Blake says, NO, the only thing you MAY notice by doing this is adding GRIT to the output. This is typical of how amps are run when we want to DRIVE the output section for a bit of GRIT. DRIVE = PRE UP, Output Down --- CLEAN = PRE DOWN , Output UP
Tube amps react very noticeably , while SS amps may react minimally . _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,
