How have you got the top string of the blonde E9 neck set up?

The position of the finger looks a little unorthodox (to my curious mind)

Richard
Yes your right some of the best in the business set this Emmons up Albert Johnson an Dana Flood.
On a push pull the first string pull from F sharp to G sharp is a stretch the conventional way. This Way allows for a smooth pull pulling both pieces of the finger.
If you notice the small brass balls underneath these help you find the tuning devices underneath while setting at the steel.

Dana an Albert are well known in the push pull world. Surprised

How cool is this brass ball tuning Locators
DANA FLOOD AN ALBERT johnson went the extra mile on setups.

THE BOLT ON WOOD NECK IS A BIG PLUS JUST A MUCH BETTER WAY TOO ATTACHED THE CHANGER TOO THE NECK THE THE CHANER AN PICKUP HOUSING TO THE BODY. The later model cut tails are subject to develop cracks behind
The changer a real problem with cut tail Emmons push pulls an all pulls.

when Mike Scaggs rebuilds a push pull cut tail he often has too repair the cracks behind the changer with a wood spline or a beech wood biscuit.

Moral of the story I like the Bolt on I guessing the bean counters at Emmons choose to save time an money an developed the cut tail . The prototype steels they would give too
Buddy to try we’re Okayed by him then the bean counter mentality would kick in an destroy some of the better ideas that Buddy Okayed.
