I'm sure I should know this after all these years ... is there a way to change the angle of the knee levers on a p/p? My left levers are a bit too close. Thanks for any help you can give me. Boo |

Just adjust the stop collars w/the allen screws to the angle you want. |

Hey, Erv --
You'll have to pardon my ignorance (my wife does When you say "adjust the stop collars w/the allen screws" are you referring to the allen screws that hold the level on to the crossrod? If so, I'm confused because the LR is attached to a bracket on the guitar. Thanks again for your help and input. Boo |

Jim Palenscar made all 4KL's on my SD-12PP so I can adjust the "hang angle" of the main body of the KL's. It involves drilling and taping an allen screw in the bottom of the slotted part of the "base" part of the KL. It's da bomb IMHO.

Thanks, Jim. That's the way it works on my LeGrande. That's a great idea ... I'm also interested in learning what I can do in the interim. Thanks again, Boo |

Hi Boo. Turn the guitar over and you'll see the "stop collars" as you put the knee lever in question through its excursion. Not the ones (if any) by the changer but those actually that are containing the lever's motion. If you aren't sure- just call me at the shop and we'll go over it together on the phone to be sure and should only take about 2-3 minutes. |

Boo, you should look at your levers where the handle is hinged to the part that mounts and see if there is an adjustable allen bolt that can be adjusted to let the handle swing further before it starts to engage. Some don't have this but many do. If yours does you might be able to get enough adjustment that way. Just screw it in clockwise a few turns. This is probably too simple to be true but it don't hurt to check.
