Jumping on the Live Music from Home thing that's going around...

I think the first time I heard this tune - Isa Lei - was on the soundtrack for the movie Dead Men Walking with Ry Cooder and Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. That led to seeking out other versions of the tune. Eventually I worked up my own rendition which I'm sharing here. I'm playing a 1954 National Dynamic lap steel through a Strymon Flint with reverb and tremolo set about half way through a Wolf Amplifier which is made by my buddy Barry Wolfinsohn here in Chicago

Great tune, although I cannot say I'm crazy about FX. I don't know the full story on Isa Lei, but it was well known in Australia during WW2 as the Fijian Farewell due to the lyrics Leut.A W Caten. However, the Tongans were already singing their version before the war. Here's a version by Johnny Wade of Sydney's Hawaiian Club with my Australian hero, Les Adams, on steel.

Really nice, Rob. Personally, I love tremolo with steel guitar.
