Do you guys know of any tuners other than the expensive ones that display cents?
I had one and lost it. I think the brand was Astatic. That one seems to have been discontinued. _________________ Curbside Jimmy's New Act

This Seiko SAT501 is what I use.
Primary negatives are that it is twitchy -- I wish it were a bit slower and would average things out more -- and that it is not backlit so viewing on a dark stage is tough.
They are hard to find now and are presumably discontinued. When I bought it a couple of years ago someone on Amazon was blowing them out for around 10 @ under $100. Kinda wish I'd gone for it.

Some of the cheap Snark headstock tuners show +/-50 cents but you have to make your own smaller graduations in between. I use one sometimes clipped to my steel headstock. It picks up just fine. |

I like the Korg CA50 for both its size, simplicity and ability to work with all my instruments including pedal-steel, acoustic/electric guitar and bass.
It also has separate mark to show just intonated major 3rd and just intonated minor 3rd.

This is an awesome tuner. Physical needle with illuminated dial.I loved the TU12, but not good on dark stages...SAT1100 _________________ Franklin #130, Melobar Skreemer, Wechter Scheerhorn Resonator, Nashville 112, Boss DD 3

That's the one I like best, because of the cents display in the lower left corner. I was carrying them for a while, then my distributor dropped them.

And you know what, b0b -- you jogged my memory. I bought it from you....maybe the last one. This, the model SAT50 is what I got on Amazon or Ebay as a backup. These are the only tuners I know that give the numerical read-out. Add two tweaks -- a backlight and a 'slow-downer'; on my first Korg, the DT-1, you could switch between fast and slow response -- and I've got my perfect tuner.
