I have just bought a new Bill Lawrence 710 pickup it has 3 wires red,black and white how do I wire it up

Not sure this will help since it is unclear if you are dealing with a D-10 or single neck. This was a drawing I used when replacing a simple on-off-on switch on my Mullen.

On Bill Lawrence pickups, the black wire is ground, white is hot, and red is used if you want to split the coils to have either a humbucker or single coil pickup. The red wire will go to a spst switch and then to ground. In one position, the pickup is single coil, in the other position of the switch, it is a hum humbucking pickup.
