The last few months, I had been having a problem with my Emmons volume pedal. Dunno why it started, but I couldn't shut the volume off completely when pulling back on the pedal. I know I could adjust the string pulley so the pedal shut off more, but that would cause a partial drop in full volume at the other (fully open) end. Only way I could play swells was to keep my amp volume very low,but then I wasn't very loud at full on, and as it is I hafta put coasters under the front legs of my steel so I can pedal fully open, as the string post hits the floor in the fully open position.
Here's what I did...on the frame of the pedal, right where the string post makes contact in the full off position, there was a little rubber bumper that kept the pedal from closing fully. I peeled it off & VOILA! I can now go from complete off, to full on. Can't even feel the difference; I put a piece of electrical tape where the rubber bumper was; you can see me pointing to it.
Hope this might help a few people.
