Hello Friend's,
A friend of mine has a MSA and would like to know the yr modle. The ser. number is 205132. When facing the steel, it has MSA on the left and classic on the right. It's a green lacquer D10, and has round cross-shaft's. He said that when he bought it,(years ago)the seller told him that it was once owned by Buck Owens' steel player. I don't know if he was talking about Mr. Brumley or someone else. If it was once Mr. Brumley's, wouldn't it be GREAT to own it! With the info I've given, does anyone know the yr. modle? Thank you.

Are the MSA and Cassic logos and fretboard silkscreened onto the wood under the lacquer, or or they external add ons?
If it's the former- the guitar is from 77 or 79. If the latter, '76-77.

Mitch....Serial number 2C5132 shows to be a green double 10 which left the factory with 8 pedals and 4 knee levers. It was originally sold to B&W Music. (location unknown) The specific day of production was not entered into record, however they do reflect the guitar was made in April of 1976.
To my personal knowledge, Tom Brumley never owned an MSA. |

Mike,
I think the logo's and fretboard are add-on's.And Reece, you are right. It does have 8 petals and 4 knee levers. My friend does not have a computer, and will be very greatful for the help that ya'll have given. And so am I. Thank you both very much!
Mike, your "warning" at the end of your post's sure is funny! I also have a tele, but am petrified to use it! Thank's again!

Hey, Billy!
Only a steel player would know a man's name by the color of his steel!ha!ha! I'll sure tell him, my friend. One day soon, we need to get together and "talk steel's" and drink coffee.
Your friend, Mitch |
