Up for sale is a circa 1918-1921 Style O artist in near mint condition.
This is BY FAR the cleanest , most together Gibson Style O for sale at the moment.
There are NO cracks or repairs , and no funky smells.Tailpiece replaced to a period correct version with 2 extra screw holes. This piece of art plays lovelyand sounds just as sweet.
Original case is also in wonderful condition.
It even has the ORIGINAL KEY !
This is the cleanest one Ive ever seen and have babied it for all the years Ive owned it.
It is a remarkable instrument and a stunning piece of early Gibson history.
$7500

I know a gentleman who has a beat up Style O in the back of his hall closet. No case. Just leaning against the back wall of the closet. He doesn't play. Got it cheap a long time ago. Won't sell it. I haven't seen it in a couple of decades. I see him every so often. I shudder to think what it looks like now. The closet was his junk closet. His son knows I would like to have it. Perhaps from the estate some day.
Your guitar is gorgeous. |

It may be worth your time to contact Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga, TN. They have a stunning collection of guitars and could very well be interested in obtaining this one. Worth an email to the curator! _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.
