They say no question is stupid.......but I'm pushing it here!
So, I recently bought a 1952 Fender Dual 8 Professional. IT's in VG shape, with a few small issues. One being, it need legs tips.
What diameter, though?
I measured the circumference at 2".....divided that by pi to get the diameter and it comes out to 0.6366 in. Huh? Just for giggles I measured my Stage One legs and they were the same, so this isn't some weird size.
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
Any ideas?
Thanks! |

Jim,
First, congrats on the acquisition!
#1, a question: Why not remove a leg tip and measure the diameter directly instead of doing the math?
#2, an observation: 0.625 = 5/8-inch. My guess is replacement tips with an ID of 5/8 will work.
Let us know how it goes.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! |

FWIW, these were a little too big, but a couple wraps of electrical tape around the leg made them fit snug. I'm guessing 1/2" would've been the ticket. |
