I just received word on FB that my old friend Bill Graham has passed away. Bill was bassist with Glen Campbell, Roger Miller, and many others for years. He originally was from Brownwood TX, but we met in Los Angeles in 1970 and kept in touch. He had dual residences in Nashville and Brownwood.

Bill was a great songwriter and co-wrote "There Goes the Neighborhood," IMHO a classic song and was a hit for Shania Twain, and a great version was cut by Joe Diffie as well.

When I worked with Festus of Gunsmoke we worked a rodeo in Canada with Glen Campbell on the bill. Bill was on bass, Carl Jackson on banjo and fiddle. Went backstage before they performed, and got a picture of Bill with Carl Jackson. I sent a copy years later to Bill and Carl. Hadn't heard from Bill in quite awhile. His cousin lives in the same town I do. Small world. RIP Bill my friend. Glad I got to know you.
