Just got a Carter Starter. Awesome, should have got one years ago. Anyway, two knee levers on the right. The inside lever doesn’t seem to be connected to anything. What string is it supposed to push / pull?

You will find several of the knees use a small screw head drilled into the body as their “stop” to stop knee lever travel. You will want to replace those with something like a small wood block or a screw with a much much larger diameter head as the aluminum mechanical parts bend easy thus that particular knee lever can miss hitting that screw head very easily and then instead of a 1/2 step raise or lower you wind up waaaaay off. Also you can contact Al Brisco of Steel Guitars Canada for parts. He bought out all the Carter parts when the owner died
