| Can anyone recommend a PSG repair person in the NE? Looking to add a knee lever to my ShoBud Pro I and get it tuned up, hoping to avoid shipping it. Thanks in advance! |

I highly reccommend Tommy Cass. You can do a search on the Forum here and find out the info you need. He's one of the very best in my little 'ol opinion.
Also, you might try Kurt Kowolski. I think he's in the Albany or Niagra area. He's very good too, if he has the time to do it.

Chris--FWIW I expect to be driving up to Tom Casela's place in Mass within the next month--maybe even within the next couple of weeks; not sure yet--to pickup my new Fessenden. If you want to arrange for me to carry your guitar up there, it could work well for you. If I like your Bud enough to keep driving and head for the border it could work out well for me.

| I would like to say that Tom Cass does phenomenal work on steels. He got my '69 push pull playing absolutely great, I haven't had to touch the collars on the 4th or 5th strings since he did the work in March. It's worth it also just to see one of his restored steels in person, they look like they just came out of a time machine! |

I just went to Tom's place yesterday to pick up a '72 Emmons S-10 that he worked on for me. Tom does fantastic work, the best I've ever seen. I ended up staying for 3 hours, played several beautifully restored PSGs through various amps, we mixed and matched effects, played a bunch of songs, told stories, gossiped, and had a great time. Tom loves the pedal steel guitar and he is extremely dedicated in his work. He gives 1000% I have known Tom for 25 years, and I am very lucky that he lives only an hour away from me!

Your Right Doug !!!
I was at Tommy's a couple of day's after you
and had him work on my D-10 Emmons and he did a great job !!! I finally got to hear him play and did he ever make my Emmons sound great. I live about 2 1/2 hrs from him
but the trip was worth every mile. I really like his sense of humor too. I wish I could have been there to hear you play. I did actually meet you about three or four years ago at a Jam at a VFW Hall in Mass. Bobby Seymore was there and I think Jerry Brightman also showed up.

Sounds like you might be around the New England states?
If you cared to take a trip into Ontario via Watertown, NY, I am app. 2 hours from Watertown, & I have most parts in stock for the popular brands of pedal steels,(or can make them).
I do a lot of work on Sho-Bud's. We're in the process of re-finishing & up-grading 3 Professional guitars at present.
